As if the Cadillac Escalade wasn’t already opulent enough on its own, Mansory, a company specializing in extreme vehicle modifications, has decided to add extras where they weren’t necessary, and people are loving it.
There will always be buyers who want more. A bigger yacht, a more modern plane, a better-located villa. In short, Mansory exists precisely for this reason, and the German company has been enjoying resounding success for a few years now. It is renowned for its radical customizations on models such as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
An imposing design
This year, the tuner has decided to do something new and take on another giant of the industry, the Cadillac Escalade.
Unlike other tuners that mainly focus on the mechanical aspect, Mansory instead emphasizes design with flamboyant modifications. In the case of the Cadillac Escalade, this involves a new, more aggressive front bumper, a set of sporty side skirts, and a sportier rear bumper. The hood and fenders have also been replaced. The two most eye-catching improvements, in my opinion, are the carbon fiber rear wing and the stunning 26-inch wheels with the typical design of large, elegant British cars. The worst part of it all is that the wheels display a nice proportion due to the ridiculous dimensions of the Escalade.
The most amusing part is that the modifications on the regular version of the Cadillac Escalade seem quite modest compared to what Mansory has in store for the performance V version. The latter has not yet been officially unveiled, but the first images show a contrasting and spectacular finish.
Enhanced performance
While Mansory focuses the majority of its efforts on design, the tuner does not neglect the mechanical aspect of its vehicles. That’s why the 6.2-liter V8 engine of the Cadillac Escalade goes from 420 to 455 horsepower and from 460 to 478 pound-feet of torque. For a vehicle of this size, it can make all the difference.
Unfortunately, no figures have been given regarding the Cadillac Escalade V. We know that the latter is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque as a base. Thus, it is easy to imagine that Mansory will raise these figures beyond 700 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. Moreover, there are already rumors circulating on the web about a Mansory electric Cadillac Escalade with over 1,000 horsepower.
